About us

Imagine
if everyone involved in providing workers’ compensation insurance aligned to support one common goal: doing what’s best for workers.

Imagine a partnership in which agents, underwriters, claims managers, healthcare providers, employers, and even workers themselves, engage as one team – actively focused on avoiding injuries and getting injured workers healthy and back to work as quickly as possible.

That’s Salus’ vision. Because when we focus on doing right by workers, it turns out that the by- product is economic benefit to everyone.

As the founder of Concentra, the nation’s largest occupational healthcare provider, I developed injury management principles based on this belief. Decades (and millions of cases) later, the benefits of this approach are well proven.

But healthcare providers are just one link in the chain. Over time, the system itself has become bloated and misaligned, encouraging a cycle of mistrust that leads to needless delays, expense and litigation.

I knew that in order to achieve maximum benefit, we needed to be able to extend the principles I developed as a healthcare provider to the rest of the workers’ comp system. That’s why Salus offers a full-service program that includes underwriting, loss control, and claims management, all under one roof.

Moreover, I knew that we must find partners committed to help us realign the system to one based on trust. Trust that – given a common goal – each participant knows the best way to deliver their link in the chain.

That’s where you come in.

Sincerely,

Richard Rehm, M.D.
